Oh I crocheted cute hand bag! It is 100% wool (can't find the yarn information, sorry). It has 2 buttons...

...and practical pocket inside. The lining is recycled 100% washable Swedish army woollen fabric.

Dancer's Winter Set

Dancer's Winter Set includes long hand warmers. They leave the palm area free to avoid accidents. It is easier to hold and catch when there is nothing between your skin and the surface you are working with.

Dancer's Winter Set includes also the ruff. It keeps the shoulder area warm when waiting your turn or stretching. When the neck is warm it prevents feel the cold also on lower shoulder areas and helps muscles to stay relaxed.

It is my own design. 

I used 100% polyacryl yarn and four golden buttons.

How to cut and sew fur -tutorial

Do you remember these cat ears? You can see a picture of them at here. Well, they needed to be turned out to White Wolf Ears... also a tail was needed.

This is not a real fur but the same simple ideas work with this one too. At first you need to draw the pattern on the back side. Then you need a sharp knife.

Prick carefully through the fabric or leather. The idea is to cut the fabric or skin, not the hair. This method reduces a lot the hair trash to spread all over the working place. If you cut by scissors you cut also the hair. With the knife you can avoid cutting the hair. That makes the seams invisible because there will not be shorther hair.

When you have cut the pattern pull it gently away.

Push all the hair deep into the space the two pieces of fabric / fur form out when pinning them together.

Do not use pins for leather because they leave holes when taken out! For fur you can use them, because the remaining holes can't be seen through the hair. Use -for example- paperclips instead for leather.

I was making ears and tail. So I needed to turn the inside out to get the front side visible again.

The cat loved it.

Looks almost like real. :)

I decided to stitch the fur on the ears so that they can be removed when ever wanted.

Well, today I had a date...

...with Eva!

She is my knitting machine. I inherit her from my grandmother a decade ago. It's been few years since our last date so we needed to chat a bit to get it all sorted out.

I needed Novita Wool yarn

(100% wool) (50g = 135m)

Now I am mixing some Novita Säde yarn with it by crocheting...

(58% acryl, 28% polyester, 7% mohair, 7% polyamide) (50g = 205m)

My Every Day

Every morning when I wake up I see the sky. And from the sky I know how is MyWorld like today. I am happy and privileged because MyEveryDay is different. But that is how I have created MyLife to be.

I love to learn and get to know new things. Like this bouquet a friend brought. (Thank you Dear M., been missing you a lot!) I have never seen anything like this before. The majority of the residents in this house have started to think it is an alien from Mars... I don't. I am educated and civilized and know it is just a seed capsule...

Having a school at home demands arrangements and parental time. Usually we leave the education for the excellent school system of Finland. Despite of the poor old books the education is the top of the world; and it is free for every child. But, Little Lady has been and still is in high fever so I need to play a teacher for a while...

...and Master Chef...

It all is mixed up. What all? 250ml whipped up vanilla mousse mixed with 500g curd, 3dl black currants and 3dl raspberries. That all. Yummy despite it is healthy with all the vitamines. (Berries are from MyVeryOwn kitchen garden.)

No, this is not a carrot pie. It is pumpkin pie. Little Lady doesn't like the topping so she leaves it for Granny who loves it. (Granny is still over the moon because last Sunday she was taken in hunting to track some moose! Oooh, all those memories from good old times. Despite she had to be in leash all the time because of her 90% blind eyes and 80% deaf ears she was in heaven and YES, her nose is still working, she found it from there where the other silly fool young dogs had been seeking already for several times! :) No moose can fool My Granny!)

She -the Cat- has been back to normal strange weird herself... The most weird things in the world are PlayStations, sewing machines and printers... ???

I have finished 15 TabCases to be sold at HM Hermanson's Xmas markets with other little surprises.

I have started to knit a woolly hat for my friend with whom I will swap it to her latest book Pommi. For this woolly hat I use OurOwnWool. I have been asking her what kind of hat she desires. We have been talking about this HotHatCase for few years I think. Still no picture for me, so I got inspired and she'll get what I want! :) My own design of course.

Treasures

 

Today morning was warmer than yesterday. Today we actually had plus degrees. Not many, but still they were plus degrees.

Despite of the frost I had some lovely moments yesterday with chocolate cake and friend...

I started the adult sized scarf. It is similar as my previous BabyScarfNo1. Also for this one I am using OurOwnWool.

I finished it and now it is waiting for the washing.

I am still singing Christmas songs with Helga...

...and having interesting moments with my treasure boxes to find out what all I have despite I had forgot I had it at all...

First OOW (OurOwnWool) scarf is here. It is a prototype and baby size.

After finishing it I washed it.

Pegs are enough to load on some weight...

Washing makes it even more soft and fluffy.

Frost bites

Today morning the frost had arrived.

Before the arrival the autumn painted MyWorld.

We all were ready; also my car. In Finland you need special winter tyres for your car. These are the summer ones and wait for the cleaning and storing up.

These frost mornings are beautiful because they include sunshine.

The leaves the wind had plaid with.

This little pond is such a frog paradise.

But all the frogs are somewhere else now. Can you see the thin ice cover over the water.
